A Day To remember

The Artifact was featured in the Gig Harbor parade. The Artifact made for a solemn day of remembrance as well as a day to thank all of the men and women who risk their lives every day.

Time Line of 9/11/01

it all started with a trip

When Gig Harbor Fire and Medic One were notified that they were to receive one of the artifacts from the World Trade Center, four of their department members gave up their own time and resources to make the 8 day journey. They drove 24 hours a day to complete the first step of this amazing tribute to all who lost their lives on that fateful day.

  • 8:46 AM: Flight 11 crashes at roughly 466mph into the north face of the North Tower of the WTC, between floors 93 and 99
  • 9:03 AM: Flight 175 crashes at about 590mph into the south face of the South Tower of the WTC, between floors 77 and 85
  • 9:37 AM: Flight 77 crashes into the western side of the Pentagon
  • 10:03 AM: Flight 93 is crashed by its hijackers in Shanksville, Pennsylvania
